Review:
Where does one start with a story like this one...deep breath !!
First, I will say that I loved loved loved reading this from Dane's POV. I don't know if I am the only one but I literally can hear his voice talking in my head as I read( I know I am weird ).It didn't take me long at all to relate to this story in more ways than one. It begins with Dane dreading going home to his depressed wife and right away I needed to know why. Why was she so depressed and why couldn't he be there to support her? As you read on it becomes very clear and again I felt it deep within me. I don't talk about this part of my past because it's difficult and I tend to want to bury it. However, reading this brought those feelings of hurt, shame and fear right back to the surface. I know as you read this you are probably scratching your head thinking wth is she talking about...she's all over the place. Trust me read this book and you will understand and appreciate the lesson to be found within it!!! I don't like spoilers so I won't go any further than to say I was blown away by the Leddy's ability to approach this subject. Unfortunately it's a very REAL issue that doesn't need to be hidden. I felt so much pride and happiness for them all in the end. It was a true example of how one can overcome anything as long as you have the will and fight within you !! Never allow anyone to take your power away...bad things happen to good people, but they don't define who you are !!!
Job well done Leddy....thank you for reminding me to not live in the past!!

My name is Kendall Carrington—or so I thought.
One night, a routine traffic stop turned the world I thought I knew upside down. I wasn’t who I thought I was. No one was. I had been kidnapped when I was young, and everything I had been told was all a lie. But the lies didn’t end there. If it hadn’t been for Lincoln Hunt, I might not have ever found out the truth.
My real name is Danielle Tucker.
This is my story of pain, betrayal, and finding the true meaning of home.
Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped. She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females. The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. And to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
