Review of A Woman Gone Mad by Kimber S. Dawn

A Woman Gone Mad
Synopsis: Forget everything you know about fairytales. There comes a point in a woman's life when she realizes not everyone gets a happy ending. And no one knows this better than Lillian Shaw. The safety of a small southern upbringing and a happy normal family couldn't keep life from chipping away at her.

And nothing leaves its mark like the bite of a broken heart. Blow after blow, Lillian tries to stay optimistic, but when faced with a choice that could destroy her future, she gives in to the temptation.
When your first true love comes crashing into your happily ever after, you're supposed to walk away. Not fall back in love. But saying no to Leo was something Lillian could never do...Once lines are crossed is there any going back?  Or is the risk that Lillian Shaw takes going to leave her broken again... And this time be enough to make her A Woman Gone Mad?

Review: How much can one woman take?  I like to say that I loved this book from the beginning but I didn't. However, my opinion then didn't stop me from finishing the book.  I realized the more I read, the more I got pulled into the story.  I told my friends that if they were ever looking for an emotional read that this book is for them.  I cried in almost every chapter.  My heart, as well as my head hurt for Lillian Shaw.

"Every heartbreak a woman experiences throughout her life leaves a scar behind, and these scars never fully heal. The thousands of shattered pieces that remain of a woman’s heart are nothing more than battered pieces of scarred tissue that still function as a vital organ to keep her alive."

Lillian's story is raw, tragic, emotional, inspirational, a truly gritty story inspired by true events, it will have you on a roller coaster of craziness that is Lillian's life.. This book will leave your emotions reeling even when you've read that last page.. This is not a "Fairy Tale" love story, so prepare yourself now!!

*****5 plus stars*****
Kimber S. Dawn your writing is amazing!!!!  The way you pull readers in and make us ugly cry and snot, and snub trying to breathe while reading.  This has to be the most emotionally draining book I have ever read.  It is one that won't be easily forgotten.
