Promo: Little Black Book by Tabatha Vargo and Melissa Andrea

Title: Little Black Book
Author: Tabatha Vargo & Melissa Andrea
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: June 27, 2014

My name’s Sebastian Black, and I want to buy you. I could have any woman I want, but I choose you.
NO RELATIONSHIP, JUST SEX.

Here’s my offer…
I’ll put your name in my LITTLE BLACK BOOK, and when I want you, I’ll call you. When I call, you’re going to come, in more ways than one. It will be mutually pleasurable for both of us.

There are only two rules:
DON'T EVER DENY ME.
DON'T FALL IN LOVE.

If you do either, I’ll remove you from my book and payment stops.

Do we have an understanding?

"This book was amazing, super sexy, heart breaking, stomach in knots kind of awesome." ~ Eye Candy Bookstore

"From the very first scene, it grabbed my attention - who knew a threesome could be so deliciously hot. This book set my little finger on fire - I couldn’t flip the pages on my kindle fast enough." ~ Deliciously Wicked Books

About Tabitha:

Tabatha is a sweet tea sippin', front porch sittin' kind of girl from South Carolina. She loves old, historical anything, wind chimes, and all things romantic. She is the mother of an 8 y/o rock star/princess and the wife of her very own Prince Charming.
When she isn't writing, she's texting book ideas to herself.

About Melissa:

Reading has always been a passion for me and writing is as instinctive as breathing. Every inhale is an idea; every exhale a creation. Flutter, The Discover Series was my debut release and since then I have written a contemporary romance, The Edge of Darkness. The only thing I do better than writing? Making beautiful, sassy and independent, girls. My daughters will always be my greatest accomplishment, my biggest fans and my every inspiration. I live, breath and would die for them! I've been married to one of the greatest men in my life for 7 years and I love him more than chocolate (you know shit just got real :), Justin Timberlake and Friday's. Without him my website would be a mess and I would probably be paying more taxes than I should. He is a jack of many trades and this is just my opinion but I like to think besides my daughters, I'm his second biggest accomplishment. (Does anyone else hear a horn tooting?)

I was born in Denver, Colorado -but I will always think of sunny Arizona as my home. I don't have a big family, but I'm close with my sister, brother & my mom. My mom is my hero, my inspiration, and I couldn't have asked for a more amazing person to be raised by. She has supported me throughout this crazy adventure and I'm lucky to have her on my side!

Review: The Grace in Darkness by Melissa Andrea

Every part of me yearns for Ryland and there hasn't been a day that’s gone by that I don’t question if I made the right decision. Adjusting is something I should be used to by now but how can I do that when life has other plans?

When darkness consumes you, only true light can free you

Remembering how I existed before Araya came into my life and turned everything upside down has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I can’t stand to be round anyone and the feeling is mutual. But I’m ready to take back what’s mine. I’m ready to be whole again. But every decision has a choice and every choice has a consequence.

To find the grace in darkness, you must
Dare to be BRAVE
Dare to be STRONG
Dare to be ALIVE

Just as promised....my review of book 2!  I LOVED IT!  The Grace in Darkness starts off right where The Edge of Darkness ended.  A confused and lost Ryland is trying to understand why Araya left him. Ryland has become broken, angry, and bitter and is pushing everyone away.  After the betrayal of his family, the loss of Araya, and his broken heart, Ryland becomes a completely different person.  He even makes a deal with the devil, J.D.

Araya however, is even more beautiful, if that is possible.  She has decided to live her life and become more independent, giving her a new light.  Gradually she becomes more confident and is finally getting back to do something she loved and was born to do - dancing.  Being without Ryland hasn't and isn't easy for her but she is doing this for herself, she has to prove this to herself.  She will never stop loving Ryland.  He is her soul mate and she will always love him.

Want to know why J.D., Jonathon Dare, is the devil? He plants the idea in Araya's head to go to the school and leave Ryland.  Ok, that was smart of her but the only way for Ryland to find her is for him to work for the company for a year.  When the year is up, he promises to tell Ryland where Araya is, no contact until the year is up, but vindictive J.D. has other plans.

"I told you I'd make your life miserable."
J.D.'s comment ripped through my thoughts and stalled my exit.  I turned around to see him coming toward me, his face twisted darkly.
"What?"
"I dangled something in front of you that you can't have and it's killing you.  Enjoyed your performance by the way.  Your mother and I are so proud."

Oh I love what he had coming to him.  After splitting these two up and never caring about his family, it was long deserved!

With the love that Araya and Ryland have for each other, nothing can keep them apart.  Ryland never gives up on them and will stop at nothing to get her back into his life.  She is his light.  He also  wants her to know that he will never hold her back - from anything.  He did get her back to her dancing didn't he?  He loves her and will spend the rest of his life showing her just how much she means to him.

Once these two find each other, you expect things to go back to like it was, or as close to it right?  WRONG.  J.D. can't stand to see anyone happy.  You know, somewhere around the corner, he's going to do something or has something up his sleeve to screw it up for these two.  What happens?  Does he get in the way?  You'll just have to read it for yourself.  This was one I couldn't put down!

RATING - 5 Stars

"Come here," I growled, and when she didn't move, I taunted.  "Come on, Hummingbird, I dare you."

She took a deep breath and a step toward me, and it was over,  Colliding into each other, we fell against the wall in the small room.  My mouth came down on hers fiercely, and my fingers flexed around her ribs.  I lifted her against me, and her shapely legs wrapped around my waist easily.  My hands moved over her hips, and my fingers dug into her flesh, bringing her closer and harder against me.  I needed her to know exactly how good this was going to be.

I didn't know where Ryland and I stood now, but watching him walk away from me had been harder than walking away form him all those months ago.  I just wish I knew where we went from here.

Review: The Edge of Darkness by Melissa Andrea

The Edge of Darkness (Darkness Duet, #1)

Synopsis:

I loved to dance, but I don’t anymore.

I was in an accident I don’t remember… or maybe I don’t want to remember.
Either way, every day since, has been… an adjustment and I’m left with a constant reminder that nothing is forever.

Now, my life is a tangled web of darkness filled with deceit, hate, betrayal and lies. I don’t dwell on the past, I don’t regret and I don’t remember… I survive. But then I met Ryland Dare and he changed everything. He reminded me that life’s worth living and that remembering isn’t always a bad thing.

You don’t know true darkness until you've felt light…

On the outside looking in, some would say my siblings and I have had a pretty easy life. But beyond the fancy cars, the huge house and endless social events, is where the truth really lies. Power hungry father, defeated mother and fake friends? Yeah I have one of each. Then Araya Noelle comes along and shows me what I’ve been missing. She thinks I changed her life, but really, she saved mine.

At the edge of darkness, you must DARE to HOPE. DARE to LOVE. DARE to LIVE

Review:

Araya loves dance and is one of the best.  Had it not been for an accident, she would have been the youngest to be accepted into Julliard.  The accident forced Araya to adjust in several ways.  Her mother does not survive the accident causing her to have live with her aunt and uncle.  Ever since that day, she has not truly lived her life.  There is nothing for her to look forward to until the day she meets Ryland Dare.

Ryland is captivated by Araya's beauty and there's something else.  He just might be the light she needs.  For the past four years, Araya has not been living.  Since the accident, she stays in the apartment, cooks, and cleans up after her aunt and uncle, and dwells on the past.  Her situation not only broke my heart, but it made me mad at the same time.

Ryland is rich and handsome but has a chip on his shoulder.  He lives at home with his very dysfunctional family.  Ryland's dad, J.D., is just a jerk.  Make that Jerk with a capital J!  He only wants his children to do what he says and wants.  For Ryalnd, that is to work for the family company.  Ryland and his siblings however, despise their parents.  Ryland is just waiting for the day he can leave his family's home.  This changes though when he sees a pretty read head at the park.

Araya may live in darkness but Ryland becomes her light.  Araya can be shy at times, but she also still has a fire within her.  Ryland is sweet, strong and very persistence.  These two balance each other.  J.D. however will stop at nothing to separate these two.  He is EVIL.  I believe Araya even says J.D. makes the devil look like a saint!

I give this book a 4 stars.  Yes there is a cliff hanger, but thank goodness book 2 is out!  Stay tuned for that review.
