OUAA synopsis
Racing against time, NSA Agent Joaquin Muñoz is searching for a little girl who vanished twenty years ago with a dangerous secret. Since Bailey Benson fits the profile, Joaquin abducts the beauty and whisks her to the safety of Club Dominion—before anyone can silence her for good.
At first, Bailey is terrified, but when her captor demands information about her past, she’s stunned. Are her horrific visions actually distant memories that imperil all she holds dear? Confined with Joaquin in a place that echoes with moans and breathes passion, he proves himself a fierce protector, as well as a sensual Master who’s slowly crawling deeper in her head…and heart. But giving in to him might be the most delicious danger of all. Because Bailey soon learns that her past isn’t the only mystery. Joaquin has a secret of his own—a burning vengeance in his soul. The exposed truth leaves her vulnerable and wondering how much about the man she loves is a lie, how much more is at risk than her heart. And if she can trust him to protect her long enough to learn the truth.

Review:

If  you have read Shayla Black's Wicked Lovers Series then you know how she works.  This book contains a hot, alpha male named Joaquin, who has strong dominant tendencies.  He explore these tendencies with a woman named Bailey who being stalked due to research her father did that could alter peoples DNA.  Joaquin must learn the ropes, so to speak, in correct Dom behavior.  Joaquin is on a mission to protect Bailey from LOSS and avenge his friend's death.

In His To Take, boundaries are pushed between Joaquin and Bailey as they fight the attraction felt between each other.  The attraction is not quite instant and it becomes a game of cat and mouse almost.  As the story evolved you saw the attachment and bond become stronger and stronger.  You watched them grow and work through their past and heal while learning to love and accept and take from each other.  This so made my heart happy.  Shayla Black's writing just sucks you and makes you feel the emotional side of the characters.  This book is no different.  The spice between the characters, as well as some of the characters from past books is like no other.  That is one thing I absolutely love about Shayla Black.  She always gives you what you want...in one way or another.  Each of Shayla Black's books can be read as a standalone but I totally recommend that you read the entire series, as you get to know each character in the books.  Shayla Black is definitely one of my favorite author and deemed one of the queens of erotica.  I will continue to read her Wicked Lovers Series until it is completed.
