Review:
Totally in love with this book! Everything about it! Author M. Robinson put blood, sweat, and tears into El Diablo.
I'm conflicted how to write this review...by far one of her best! Each book she write builds, builds, builds...heart racing, tears, emotion...heart stops. As my heart attempts to stop, I continue to press on. In true M. Robinson fashion she finds ways that slowly pieces your ruptured heart back together piece by piece.
There's so much I want to say about this wonderfully written, suspenseful, intense, emotionally charged, sexual chemistry that is so palpable throughout this book. One moment I catch myself smiling and then the next I'm saying Martinez, you're an asshole! He is so HOT one moment and COLD the next...I really disliked this man. Although, that is so beside the point. This story was very fast paced with so much happening simultaneously. A story full of darkness and lots of pain. The cameo appearances of Briggs and Austin, the other Good Ol' Boys and girls, Clarissa, from The Madam, and of course Boss Man was a highlight for me. I am excited about what is to come for the next book in M. Robinson's arsenal.

If you have read M. Robinson's other books you know part of the back story on Martinez. No, he wasn't always the devil. However, the lifestyle he grew up in changed him from a kid who was ostracized because of who his father was, into his father himself. Martinez never wanted the lifestyle I believed. His mother, staying true to her culture, who was the light side of the family, tried to provide as much normalcy as possible, blessing her children, taking trips, etc...but the dark side was much too strong. The things he saw became more that he could bare, always pulling him in. He fought to protect those he loved, his sister, his mother, his Sophia. Martinez wasn't an easy man to love and kept those he did love at an arms reach, fear of allowing the closeness to make him vulnerable to the outside and putting those in great danger.
"Maybe you're not who you think you are. Have you ever considered that?"
Lexi, her story broke my heart. I cried for her, wanting to take her away from her monsters. As a child, she too saw entirely too much. Exposed to the monsters who eventually changed her, not allowing her to love as easily as she wanted. Lexi was Martinez's North Star. She was his SAVIOR! No one, besides her got to see the man behind the expensive suits! She challenged him, never backing down, never afraid!

“Go stretch again, cariño,” I ordered in a dominant tone. Nodding to the barre.
“I’m fine,” she stubbornly replied. Shaking her legs and arms out. Getting back into position, looking at me through the mirror.
I cocked my head to the side, arching an eyebrow. She narrowed her eyes at me, but begrudgingly listened. I pressed play, allowing the melody to once again take over. She placed her leg on the lowest barre, making her ass stick out in my direction.
Tempting me.
She closed her eyes, needing to get lost in the music, wanting to push away all the negative thoughts, already feeling discouraged. I stood, taking off my suit jacket. Rolling up the sleeves of my collared shirt as I stepped onto the hardwood floor. I slowly came up behind her, catching her off guard.
She froze, turning around, opening her eyes. Peering up at me through her lashes. “What are you doing?”
I leaned forward against her ear, grinning. “I’m helping you stretch.” Getting down on my knees in front of her.
Her eyes dilated. The feeling of disappointment replaced with nothing but lust. She placed her arms out to the side, resting up against the barre, supporting her weight. I grabbed her ankle, lifting it up in the air, rubbing along her leg as it was fully stretched, before setting it on the lowest barre. Running my other hand up her side, easing her over toward the extended leg. She understood what I was doing, reaching for her ankle, stretching. Standing back up, bringing her arms above her head, I caressed along her leg again, casually turning her torso so her leg was still placed on the barre behind her.
Her breathing hitched as I touched her all over her lower body. My lips softly kissing the inside of her thigh to where she wanted my mouth the most.
“I’m fine,” she stubbornly replied. Shaking her legs and arms out. Getting back into position, looking at me through the mirror.
