*Must be read after Vacant to fully enjoy this novel
This is the culmination of culminations, the be all to end all. Basically, this is the last book in the Empathy Series and it will make you sit back and laugh that evil, deadly laugh. The book leaves you wanting more of Ryan and Cereus. Over the past three years, Ryan and Cereus have traveled in and outside of the country, meeting and killing people for their own depravity, sickness, and love for the high of that kill.
Cereus is so tethered to Ryan and only feels complete when with him. However, the feeling is the same for him. Ryan provides everything that Cereus needs and neglects his needs. Ryan enjoys toying with Cereus and her love for him. Although he knows how she feels, he doesn't do anything to keep her in check...knowing that she will one day go off. Cereus belongs to Ryan, Ryan belongs to Cereus...always!!!
The more killing that Cereus takes part in the more fractured her soul becomes. She is unable to control the demons within and they come out while she sleeps or day dreams giving her an up close and personal view of the things she has done. All the while not believing she has taken part in the killings or committed them herself. Ryan doesn't have this problem and Cereus becomes very jealous of his ability to push those demons aside and live the life like he is without blemish.
Georgina Yates is befriended by Cereus. They do things that "normal" friends do...except sleep with Ryan!! At this point you know something is going to happen. You think...oh crap...in deed, oh crap!!! This is the point that takes them down a path neither Ryan or Cereus wanted to go.
This entire series is something so different, and dark. I question myself as to why I like this? Is it because I like the darkish? Maybe...what I like is something that will hold you in suspense from the beginning to end. This does that!

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active… I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could have improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that i tell my own.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.
You can find me on Facebook where I love interacting with my readers.
